Traditions and customs - these two words remind us of the centuries past. These terms are fitting to the Kyjov region since it is an area that gave the peoples of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia the first folklore festival. This drew on the roots of the people who have lived in this lovely corner of Southern Moravia for centuries. Held in August 1921, this first festival, called Slovácko Year in Kyjov, became an impressive display of varied boys' and girls' folk costumes.
